Quiet Study Areas

On the first floor, the quiet areas are in the stacks.

On the second floor, the quiet areas are in the bound journals area.

Talking above a whisper is not allowed in these areas.
Group Study Rooms

The group study rooms are located on the second floor of the library in the area behind the elevator.

The study rooms can be used for two hours at a time by two or more people.

When the group study rooms are full, students may check out a pager that puts them in line for the next available group study room.

To practice group presentations there are six group study rooms, second floor rooms 234, 235, 236 and 237 have flat screen displays that can be connected to a laptop. Connection cables are available at the Circulation Desk.
Graduate Computer Rooms

Rooms 103, 105, 109 and 233 are available for individual, quiet research and writing. Each room has a table for individual quiet study and computers loaded with Microsoft Office, the statistical package SPSS, the qualitative analysis software QRS NVivo and Adobe Acrobat. Room 233 and 109 have the same software, but these are for doctoral student use. Rooms 103 and 105 may be used by any graduate student or faculty member.

Room 233 is also used by the Graduate Support Center's writing tutors most weekday afternoons. Graduate students needing writing help must submit their papers in advance and make an appointment to meet with a tutor. Schedule an appointment at WCONLINE to create an account and get started.
