Residence Life Staff Recruitment

Residence Life is excited to announce our recruitment for our student staff positions within our department. All interested students are required to visit an information table in order to learn more about process. Come be a part of a fun team as We Help Others Take Flight. Information Sessions and Interview Prep. Day

Interested in learning more about the RA position, duties, expectations, and our process?  Visit our table in the SEC Concourse on the following days in order to gain a better prospective and help prepare for our interview day!  We will also host two Interview Prep Days for a closer look into the RA role, speak with representatives from Career Services to prepare materials for the Interview Day, and other great activities.

Important Dates:

Group Process (required for all participants): Saturday April 4, 2020 in the SEC 8:30 am-12:00 pm

Individual Interview (required for all participants): Saturday April 4, 2020 in the SEC 1:00 pm-6:00 pm (30 minute time slots)

Resident Assistant (RAs)

Resident Assistants serve as the primarily resource for the 1200 students who reside on campus. RAs develop strong, lasting relationships with their students and help them connect with each other and the UIW campus. RAs perform nightly rounds when they are on call, work in one of our three offices, and work in their halls during designated times. RAs also are responsible for bringing their residents to different events around campus and serve as a mediator to assist in the resolution of roommate conflicts. RAs are mandated reporters and serve as CSAs. This is a student employment position and does not qualify for Federal Work Study.

Office Assistant (OAs)

Office Assistants support the administrative staff through a variety of clerical and creative duties such as filing and managing files, developing advertisements, checking on students, and answering a variety of questions that come through the office.  Office Assistants assist with residence hall tours, lock outs, and a variety of projects that support the Housing Operations Office. This position qualifies for Federal Work Study.
