Incoming Students

UIW welcomes students from over 140 Sister Schools to the UIW Exchange Program. Exchange students are students applying to UIW from a Sister School for one or two semesters under the Exchange Program. Exchange students must be nominated by their university prior to submitting the application package.

Application Package

This program offers many enriching community and campus outreach activities, UIW Ambassador Program (buddy program), a one-week New International Student Orientation (NISO), and cultural adjustment and personal advising.

In order to maximize the cultural component of the exchange experience all exchange students are required to live on-campus. The UIW campus community emphasizes the education of the whole person in accordance with the University Mission. The Office of Residence Life at the University of the Incarnate Word would like your stay in the campus residence halls to complement your total educational experience. There are a number of campus housing options available.

Exchange students are also required to utilize a UIW meal plan.
