Adding/Dropping a course

Come into the University Advising Center and fill out an Add/Drop Form.

Class Absence Notification

If you are unable to attend class due to an emergency or sickness, please call the University Advising Center by 8:30 am. We will notify your instructors of your absence. Phone: (210) 805-5814

How to Choose a Major

Please review the degree plan for the major you are interested in first. You can review the requirements for the major you are interested in through Degree Works (online degree evaluation) program. If you need help reviewing this information please contact our office at (210) 805-5814 to set up an appointment with an academic advisor.

Explanation of Core/Major Requirements

If you are a current and undeclared or new and/or first-time transfer student, you will be advised by the University Advising Center until you are assigned to a faculty advisor. If you are not assigned to a faculty advisor and have questions on your Core/Major requirements please contact our office at (210) 805-5814.

Advising-New/Current Students

If you are a current and undeclared or new and/or first-time transfer student, you will be advised by the University Advising Center initially. You can make an appointment with any of our counselors, Monday to Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Please be advised, before you complete your first semester, you will be assigned to a faculty advisor.

Academic Change Form

If you are a main campus undergraduate student that needs to change your major and/or advisor, declare a minor or add a double major come by the University Advising Center and fill out the Academic Change form. The change will be completed within seven business days from the date it was submitted.

Referral to Other Student Support Service Offices

If you need tutoring, need assistance choosing a major, career counseling or accommodations, we can refer you to the right office.

Withdrawal from the University

Contact the office of the Associate Provost of Academic Support Services, 16 Chapel Building, (210) 805-5813. In addition, you need to contact the Financial Aid office at (210) 829-6008 to discuss potential financial aid implications.
