The Honors Program was founded in 2008 and our first Honors students graduated in December 2011. Today we have our first doctors in medicine, pharmacy, veterinary and physical therapy; several others are working on doctorates in optometry, medicine, chemistry and clinical psychology with more to come. We are proud of all our alumni, many with advanced degrees, working in their chosen careers. About 80% of our alumni go into graduate and professional schools and the others go directly into jobs that they have prepared for. We are proud of the fact that most of our alumni, while pursuing advanced degrees, take on leadership roles in student organizations of all types.
Our alumni are also generous with their time in coming back to campus to speak to current students. They also participate in our Alumni Mentoring Network to help guide students interested in doing similar work post-graduation.
