Cultural And Academic Events
The Honors Program provides transportation to a variety of events occurring around metropolitan San Antonio. 95% of these outings are free. The Honors Program will often subsidize ticket prices so the student cost will be $10 or less on expensive tickets. Off-campus trips have included:
- tours of the Holocaust Museum, San Antonio Museum of Art, and the McNay Art Museum
- lectures by Bill Clinton, John Cleese, Dan Rather and former Pakistani president Pervez Musharraf; presentations at the UT Health Science Center, World Affairs Council, and the Mind Science Foundation
- performances by the San Antonio Symphony, Ballet San Antonio, Vexler Theater and San Antonio Opera and at the city's beautiful theaters, the Majestic and the Tobin Center
