The WLC guides UIW undergraduate students in improving their writing skills so that they will be prepared to succeed in writing-intensive college courses and in their careers.
The WLC will support you at any stage of the writing process. You may drop in during our tutoring hours, and you will be assisted on a first-come, first-served basis. If you prefer to know that a tutor will be ready for you at a designated time, or if you have questions about a particular format or about writing for a specific discipline, we recommend that you set an appointment. We recommend setting appointments for busier times, such as midterms and finals.

*Tutoring begins at 9:00 AM, but the office is open from 8:00 AM, Monday-Friday. The office closes at 5:00 PM on Friday.
