You've Been Awarded, Now What?
Congratulations! Your grant proposal was approved and you're going to receive funding.
What do you do now? Follow these steps:
-
Read the reporting forms included with the award letter to make sure you understand what is required and when. Your award letter will come with instructions or how and when to report the use of funds to the funding agency, as well as report your progress in meeting the project objectives you identified in your proposal. Reporting is usually required at set intervals (e.g., every six months, annually).
-
Set up a meeting with the staff in the Grants Accounting Office. They will help you to correctly manage your grant and adhere to all funder and university guidelines. They will also establish the account into which funds will be deposited and withdrawn.
