Personnel and Staff

The University of the Incarnate Word houses a professional Facilities Management and Services Department headed by Mr. Steve Heying – Director of Facilities Physical Plant and Ancillary Services. Mr. Heying is supported by a well-trained staff of 65 personnel in various occupations from purchasing and transportation services to trades-related maintenance and grounds/landscape support. Additionally, the department oversees UIW’s contracted housekeeping services. The department operates Monday through Friday throughout the academic year as well as during the summer, except on holidays or university closings.
